Visit one of Barcelona’s museums or gorgeous gardens to enjoy it best. If you are okay with getting your feet wet, visit Tibidabo Amusement Park (the tallest amusement park in Europe) and watch Barcelona and its skyline from above!

Explore San Lorenzo Castle while you’re in town. It was built in 1626 by King Philip IV and offered an incredible view over Madrid from atop its tower. It’s perfect for a romantic evening stroll through ancient streets and winding alleys.

Spanish playground. El Saler beach is as impressive as it gets, surrounded by orange groves and stunning dunes extending to Cape Santa Pola. It’s clean and safe, easy to get around, and has a thriving nightlife where you can eat some of Spain’s best food. There are so many things to do in Valencia that I could write another post about them alone.

Just trust me when I say that if you want a high-energy city for your honeymoon spot in Spain, look no further than Valencia! You won’t regret it. But don’t just take my word for it. If you ask most travelers who have visited Spain recently, they will tell you that their favorite part was Valencia. 

Some of our favorites include La Pineda Beach, Lake Albuferas (this one is lovely at sunset), City of Arts and Sciences (it has a massive aquarium with dolphin shows!), Oceanografic (an excellent sea life museum), or Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia (a superb art museum). 

Andalucía

Andalusia is located in southern Spain and is a beautiful region known for its pleasant weather. If you’re looking for sun, history, and good food, Andalucía should be at or near the top of your list of honeymoon spot in Spain. It’s pretty mountainous and makes for a nice contrast to coastal options on your trip. The Alhambra Palace in Granada and Córdoba are architectural beauties that can’t be missed. Meanwhile, other popular beach spots include:

• Torremolinos (right outside of Malaga).

• Los Cristianos (for those who want some Latin flair).

• Playas de Maspalomas (which has fine sand and more rustic sand options).

• Nerja (for cliff jumping).

While staying here, you can ride on one of Europe’s fastest roller coasters. Regarding major cities, Sevilla is one of my favorites in Europe. From here, it’s easy to see why: You get an incredible city vibe while enjoying world-class beaches nearby to have a great honeymoon.

The Canary Islands is an archipelago in Spain, found off Africa’s northern coast. The Canary Islands are well-known for their beautiful beaches, friendly people, and great weather. Tourists enjoy sports like fishing, snorkeling, and diving in some of Earth’s richest waters. The warm winter climate makes it a favorite honeymoon spot for honeymooners from October through April. 

The Balearic Islands

If you visit in May or June, check out Caleta de Fuste on Fuerteventura Island for its amazing beaches and Las Palmas on Gran Canaria island for some of Europe’s best nightlife! Play around with Spanish food during your stay, and remember to try Jamon Iberico de Bellota (pork ham). Once you’re eating everything, hop onto a ferry boat that will take you back home.

It offers various water activities, such as scuba diving, kayaking, and surfing, along with facilities like a parking lot.
